When the outer fabric is light-colored, even the most beautiful outfit can be ruined if it unintentionally becomes see-through.

Today, we’d like to introduce a lining that solves this problem.

You might associate anti-see-through linings with lightweight skirts and dresses for summer, but they’re actually useful in spring and autumn as well.

T6022 Stretch Lining Neaty

This is a 100% polyester stretch lining.

Made with Teijin Frontier’s Waveron®, it offers moderate stretch, a smooth touch, and excellent wearing comfort.

At Okura Shoji, all colors are kept in stock, making quick delivery possible.

The #1000 series is the anti-see-through type, and it comes in a wide variety of colors.

2007M PENTA Penta See Through Prevention

This is a high-sensitivity taffeta lining made with Toray Tetoron® and Penta (a special multi-lobed fiber).

Thanks to the use of barrel yarn, it offers antistatic properties, along with moisture absorption and quick-drying performance for a comfortable wearing experience.

Color numbers marked with an “S” indicate the anti-see-through versions.

7333 Transparent Knit Lining

If you’re looking for a knit lining, we recommend style 7333.

It offers enhanced anti-see-through performance thanks to the use of special polyester yarn.
With a unique water-absorbing finish, it has excellent moisture absorption, and its soft texture lasts over time.

7575Fully Dull Stretch Satin

This material offers anti-see-through performance and horizontal stretch.
It also features a soft, dry touch and a distinctive matte finish.

Full-dull ?

When searching for anti-see-through linings, you may come across the term “full-dull.” This refers to the level of gloss in the yarn, which is categorized into three types. By adding delustering agents like titanium dioxide during the spinning process, the shine of the fibers is reduced. The difference between semi-dull and full-dull lies in the degree of matte finish.

  • Bright: Shiny fibers that allow light to pass through easily, making them more prone to being see-through.
  • Semi-dull: Fibers with reduced gloss for a more subdued appearance.
  • Full-dull: Even less glossy than semi-dull, offering a completely matte finish. It is sometimes labeled as FD.

This classification helps in selecting the right fabric for applications where gloss level and opacity are important.

Is there an anti-see-through (sheer-preventing) lining made of cupro?

AKP9016 and AKP196 have been discontinued, so the cupro anti-see-through lining is no longer available.

We recommend polyester anti-see-through linings, but if you absolutely prefer cupro, how about using AK9008 as a substitute? It is a thicker twill lining than AKP9006, making it less see-through, and it is also used for men’s garments.
