What is ASTOR?

ASTOR is a German apparel parts manufacturer with a reputation for high quality products and reliability.

Astor Berning was founded in Germany in 1919.

They were originally a button manufacturer, but have since expanded their product line and now supply a variety of apparel materials.
Including apparel materials with highly sophisticated designs that are rarely seen in Japan.

What is a covered buckle?

ApparelX processes the buckles with fabric that you purchase through our site.

The covered buckle, with its attractive and elegant curves, is highly recommended for brands that want a simple yet sophisticated look!

Origin of the Astor Covered Buckle

The reason why the buckle names are like names rather than product numbers is because they are named after the cities and rivers in Germany where Astor was founded.

Initially the rivers Rhine, Moselle, Elbe and Neckar were named, as well as Berlin, Dresden and Fulda.

As the number of products expanded, names of rivers and cities in other countries, such as Nile and Thames, were added, and the name continues to this day.

Recommended covered buckles

MOSELLE Buckle Belt width 10MM

The small 10mm wide buckle has a thin transition line, giving it a smart impression.

Please note that the inner diameter may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the wrapping fabric.

WUPPER Buckle Belt width 15MM

The top and bottom are rounded and the sides are flat, creating a slightly unusual shape that is very eye-catching.

It would also look cute if you put a belt that is thicker than 15mm on it and scrunch it up.

MARNE-25 Maron Buckle Belt Width 25MM

The rounded almond-shaped covered buckle gives it an even cuter look than the WUPPER .

FULDA Buckle Belt Width 40MM

FULDA Buckle Belt width 40MM [Buckles and hooks] ASTOR

Even though it is the same common round buckle, it gives a softer impression than a metal buckle.

It is narrower than TIGRIS (Tigris buckle belt width 40MM), so it looks smarter.

NIL-40-2STICKS NIL Medium II Buckle Belt width 40MM

The center rod has two buckles.

A belt made of the same fabric can be passed through the center of the hole on both sides and fastened like a ribbon, so using it with a dress will create a more glamorous look.

GARONNE buckle belt width 60mm

The widest Astor is the 60mm covered buckle.

The base of the buckle on this item is also wide, so even if it is made with patterned fabric, the pattern will still be visible and not buried.

Finished product sample

The finished product is the NECKAR buckle with a belt width of 80mm ! This one does not have a pin.

Although it is small, the back of the plate is engraved with ASTOR and GERMANY.

This time we would like to introduce Astor’s covered buckles, which have seen an increase in orders recently.

It is often thought of as being used for women’s dresses, but it seems like it could also be used for luxury men’s items.

In addition to the shapes we have introduced this time, we can create many other types of covered buckles, so please take a look!
