Kuwamura Textile

Kuwamura Textile is a long-established textile manufacturer founded in 1928. They are located in Hyogo Prefecture and mainly deal in woven fabrics.

Each division handles slightly different fabrics, and ApparelX can arrange fabrics from Section 2 of Textile Division 1.

Division 1, Section 2 handles a wide range of fabrics for clothing, such as shirts, outerwear, dresses, and bottoms for men and women, from casual to dressy, and from classic to trendy items.

They can also produce original fabrics as special custom orders, starting from the fabric planning.

The store mainly stocks yarn-dyed cotton, but also stocks trendy materials such as eco-friendly fabrics (Tencel).

What is Banshu weaving?

Nishiwaki City is the epicenter of this fabric production area and it has a 70% share of the domestic market for yarn-dyed fabrics. Because the yarn is dyed first, patterns such as stripes and checks can be created from the weaving structure, and the unique texture is used by many apparel manufacturers for shirt fabrics, handkerchief fabrics, etc.

Patterns can also be created from the weave, allowing for a texture that cannot be achieved through printing.

Top 3 recommended fabrics

We would like to introduce three recommended fabrics that we currently carry. Please take a look at the video that follows the link to see the texture of the fabrics.

ST-9183 80/2 Blue Stripe

This refreshing blue striped broadcloth is made using No. 80 double-ply yarn, and because of the fineness of the yarn it is a luxurious fabric that is often used for dress shirts.

CH-6338 Triple yarn twill ombre check

Three warp strands of thick No. 16 yarn are pulled together and loosely woven to create a soft, relaxed feel. The colors are applied in stages to create a versatile ombre pattern, and due to the nature of the weave, the arrangement of the warp color threads is slightly random. Very good.

CHL-6342 40/1 Linen Down Proof Natural Wrinkle Washer Processing

This is a 40-count fabric made with cotton for the weft and cotton/linen for the weft. It is a tightly woven plain weave fabric with a firm texture, and can be used for a wide range of items, including shirts, light outerwear, and bottoms.
