What is Lingo?

Lingo is a textile brand proposed by Division 5, Section 1 of Kuwamura Seni, headquartered in Hyogo Prefecture .

Kuwamura Seni handles a wide variety of fabrics, but this department handles particularly distinctive fabrics.

For more information about Kuwamura Seni, please see this blog.

Division 1, Section 2, which we have been handling, is mainly natural fibers such as yarn-dyed shirting fabrics, but Lingo, produces mainly synthetic fabrics such as polyester and nylon.

They carry a wide range of attractive fabrics, including functional fabrics that are unique to synthetic fibers, as well as fabrics that combine tradition and new technology. With a long history, Kuwamura Textile is able to R&D thoughtfully.

ApparelX recommended products

Now, let us introduce some recommended items featured on ApparelX!

LIG6660 Ny Bright Jet Taffeta

This taffeta fabric uses bright nylon for the warp and bright taslan for the weft.

It’s hard to tell from an image, but it has a distinctive luster and wrinkled finish that makes it different from ordinary nylon taffeta.

It has a vintage feel and just the right amount of luxury, and you can see the ingenuity that is unique to Kuwamura Textile.

It will make a statement with outerwear and jackets.

LIG6408 Divider Back Twill C0 Water Repellent

Twill fabric made using split yarns both vertically and horizontally.

The use of split yarn gives the fabric a soft texture and a brushed feel.

Another feature is that it has two different finishes on the front and back: matte and glossy.

This alone is attractive enough, but it has also been custom-made to give it extremely high density and a C0 (fluorine-free) water-repellent finish.

What’s great about Lingo is that one fabric has many different charms.

LIG6930 C/CORDURA MIL OXFORD

Oxford fabric made using Lingo’s original C/CORDURA blended yarn 30/1.

The fabric was produced with a vintage fishtail parka in mind.

It’s interesting to see the fabric manufacturer show us the source of these images.

It is also water-repellent, and as the manufacturer envisions, it is a functional fabric that can be used for both outerwear and pants.

LIG6596 Cotton-like stretch twill

A twill fabric made with Taslan polyester warp and SOLOTEX® weft.

Due to the current trend towards relaxation, we have been receiving a lot of inquiries about SOLOTEX® at ApparelX.

This fabric has the stretchiness that is characteristic of SOLOTEX®, but also has a grained texture due to the vintage processing, and a cotton-like feel due to the taslan processing.

Kuwamura Textile is truly impressive in that it not only highlights the functionality of synthetic fibers, but also expresses the qualities of natural fibers.

LIG7130 AQUOS TITAS

This is an original fabric made by Lingo from yarn.

Made from recycled polyester with a cross section, it has excellent moisture absorption and quick drying properties.

A major advantage of synthetic fibers is that they can be given functionality by giving their cross-sections unusual shapes.

This fabric is woven at a higher density and blocks UV rays at a very high rate of over 99.9%.

This fabric has two functions: quick-drying and UV protection, making it ideal for outdoor wear.
