From KOJIMA with SETOUCHI
Originating from Setouchi / Protecting the Setouchi environment while sharing denim in various shades of blue with the world.
There are many companies in Setouchi to produce denim.
Taking advantage of the individuality of our cooperating factories, we will disseminate the appeal of Setouchi’s industry and culture to the world through denim.
In the Kojima area, which has been reclaimed since the Edo period, the textile industry has developed due to the flourishing of salt-resistant cotton cultivation. Then, in the Meiji era, the textile industry was greatly developed by the establishment of “Kurabo Industries” (currently Kurabo Industries) equipped with the latest spinning equipment in Kurashiki. In the mid-1900s, the production of school uniforms reached its peak and became the basis for supporting the textile industry in Kojima. Setouchi is a textile town that is still developing with cotton weaving and sewing technology as the foundation of its industry over its long history. We are a denim fabric manufacturer located in Setouchi.

ApparelX Recommendation – Okayama Denim: COLLECT(Japan Blue)
RS66
14oz 73 Single Thread Selvedge Denim
We looked into the early Levi’s 66 products, studied them in detail, and reproduced them.
By using several different types of uneven thread, we reproduce the sharp vertical unevenness characteristic of the early 66 model. We create a natural sense of irregularity by arranging the uneven shapes in a balanced manner.

CS2002
Rope Indigo Ombre Check
Ombre check made with rope indigo thread. The thread of the thread is white, just like denim, so it has the same vertical fading effect as denim.
It has a thickness that makes it easy to handle all year round, and can be used all year round.

COD501
14oz 501 New Vintage Denim
This is a reproduction of the denim style from the 80’s, after Levi’s transitioned from red selvedge to selvedgeless, commonly known as “Hachimaru.”
It features a clean look, in contrast to previous denims which had noticeably uneven thread.
This denim has a fairly dry texture and is prone to developing a grained appearance through processing.

RS6210-03
12oz Low Tension Selvedge Denim
The denim material is modeled after rugged vintage selvedge from the 1950s.
A blend of Australian and US yarns is spun into uneven thread with varying strengths.
By using a gravity loom to weave powerfully and slowly, we have recreated the texture and unevenness of the fabric as it was back then.
The color is a deep indigo. *By loosening the warp threads with low tension and weaving them over time, the unevenness will appear and the vertical fading will occur like it did back then when worn.
