Since WALDES® zippers from Asahi keep gaining popularity recently, in this article, we would like to introduce Asahi’s power loom tape, which can be attached to zipper sliders to make them easier to pull, a great way to make your zipper look more stylish.
What is power loom tape?
Tape woven on a power loom is called power loom tape or “Rikishokki” in Japanese.
Asahi also makes cotton tapes for zippers using power looms.Quoted from Asahi zipper sample book:
A power loom is a machine that uses power to weave cloth, and is different from the looms that are normally used.In recent years, the number of places that can produce them has decreased, making them a valuable loom.A distinctive feature is that a wooden shuttle moves back and forth from side to side, weaving the weft threads into the warp threads.The machine operates at high speed, but can only produce about 4 to 5 meters per hour.Its unique texture is a valuable feature that cannot be reproduced by modern looms.
Asahi zipper’s power loom tape
The most common way to use this tape is to tie it to the pull hole on the slider as shown in the image above.
The tape is available in seven colors that correspond to the cotton tape of Asahi’s WALDES® ZIPPER.
Best of all, the color matches the tape perfectly, so it’s recommended for those who want to match the color with the tape.
How to order
Orders are accepted in 1M increments.
Q: Can ApparelX arrange the product with tape already attached to the zipper puller like in the sample booklet image?
A: Yes it is possible!
It’s easier if you can provide a drawing at the time of ordering that shows how many centimeters the ends are when tied.
Installation costs will be charged in addition to the cost of the tape.
Tape charges will be billed based on the number of meters used, rounded up to the nearest 1M.
If you used 1.5M, your invoice will be 2M.
