What is mesh fabric?

Mesh fabric is a general term for net shape fabrics made with a tricot knitting machine or a raschel knitting machine.
The main materials are synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester, and nylon, particularly due to its high durability.
It has holes, is breathable and dries quickly, so it is used in areas where sweat accumulates (such as sportswear pants, jacket linings, the backs of backpacks, inner backpack pockets, mesh caps, etc.).

Mesh is often used on the inside of clothing, but recently there have been eco-bags made from mesh fabric, and it seems like we’re seeing them more often.

About mesh types

The mesh sizes vary from large to small, and there are several types depending on the weaving method.

Raschel Mesh

This is made on a raschel knitting machine. The raschel knitting machine has more reeds than a tricot knitting machine, and is characterized by a larger swing range from side to side. This allows for greater freedom in knitting, and allows for a variety of patterns to be created.

N646 Russell Mesh

It is a firm, hard mesh material.

Applications are varied, ranging from material uses such as hats, bags, pouches, safety vests, to industrial materials such as nets.

Tricot Mesh

Made on a tricot knitting machine. Tricot knitting machines knit fabric by looping the yarn vertically, allowing for mass production. It is stretchy, so it is also recommended for clothing.

1061300 SOFTCOOL® Extreme Tricot Mesh

The ceramic particles make this comfortable material cool and refreshing to the touch.
Not only does it feel cool to the touch, it also has excellent stretchability, wrinkle resistance, and washability.

KKF9990-W Octa®️ Tricot Mesh Wide Cloth

This is a brushed tricot mesh made from Octa®️, a multifunctional fiber with a hollow 8-fin cross section from Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd.
It is a functional material that is lightweight, absorbs water quickly, and has heat retention properties when used as a lining.

Polyester mesh

100% polyester mesh material. Not too crisp or hard, it can be used for both clothing and materials.

CXE5000 COOLMAX

This mesh fabric has excellent moisture absorption, is quick drying and has good breathability.
It is 100% polyester, but the eco ratio is 38% (COOLMAX ECOMADE).

Double Raschel

This mesh fabric is made of two layers of mesh, giving it thickness and a three-dimensional feel. It is a type of raschel knitting, and is characterized by its open stitches.

W-01 Double Raschel

This mesh fabric combines different raschel weaves on the front and back. It is just the right thickness and feels cushioning.

W6006 Double Raschel

It has excellent breathability and cushioning properties. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from clothing materials such as bags, hats, and shoes to general materials such as bedding and interior decoration. It is antibacterial, deodorizing, and formaldehyde-free, so it can be used safely in nursing care and baby care.

373 Diamond Mesh

This is a diamond pattern double raschel with antibacterial treatment.
It is possible to attach an antibacterial function (SEK) tag (for a fee), so it is safe for baby products and nursing care products.

SW6060 Water-absorbing, quick-drying W-Raschel

Aquastealth is a material made of a unique Y-shaped cross-section polyester yarn. It is characterized by its excellent water absorption and quick-drying properties, light weight and refreshing texture. It contains an air layer and has a structure that reduces the contact area with the skin, achieving a dry touch and light weight.

CDR3555-47 420D CORDURA® NYLON MESH FABRIC

This mesh fabric is made of 100% CORDURA® nylon, which boasts excellent durability.
It has superior durability compared to ordinary nylon mesh due to the 420D CORDURA® 66 nylon filament used the warp threads
It is a high-quality mesh material that is resistant to friction, tearing, and pulling, and provides excellent durability and sustainability.

107 NYLON MESH

This is a typical hexagonal nylon mesh commonly known as “Kagome”.
It has large mesh and is recommended for bags.

6257-P6 NYLON MESH

This is a shiny mesh made of irregular cross-section nylon.
The knitted fabric is distinctive, giving the mesh a sense of depth.
It comes in refreshing and soft colors.

3555-F NYLON MESH

This 100% nylon mesh material has a slightly smaller mesh size. It has just the right amount of firmness and is available in a wide range of colors.
